■English Proficiency Test (TOEIC-IP): Online

Eligible: 3rd year students of School of Language and Culture, School of International and Area Studies, and School of Japan Studies

(Will be referred as “new 3rd year students”)

→Take the test from Monday, March 28 to Wednesday, March 30.

*All new 3rd-year students must take the TOEIC-IP test. Applicable students will be sent the URL for examination registration by ELC to the official email address of TUFS. Please check it and take the examination during the period.

March 31(Wed)~ April 1 (Fri)

■English Proficiency Test (TOEIC-IP): Online

Third year transfer students from the School of Language and Culture Studies, School of International and Area Studies

(Will be referred as “all new students”)

※”cancelled classes” will reflect on your graded as “W” but will not impact your GPA. It will be counted in the “up to 50 credit per year” rule.

About Online Classes

Classes for the Spring Quarter will be held online and on-campus on a ratio of 6:4.

Online classes will mainly use Zoom, TUFS Moodle, Google Classroom etc. Please make sure to get a proper network connection at home.

※Some videos may show old dates but the procedure is the same

How to get a Zoom ID/Password

Codes for Zoom, Google Classroom, TUFS Moodle etc will be sent to you through the Education Information System by the instructor.

You can check through the following.

  1. Log in to you Education Information System Account.
  2. The top page will show you a calendar. Go to the date for your classes.
  3. Click on the classes that appear on the calendar so that you get further information.

Classrooms where you can take online classes

You can take online classes on the classrooms 101 and 227 of the Research and Lecture Building (Separation provided). On days and hours when no classes are held, you can take online classes in the PC classrooms.

※Seats are limited so we encourage you to take classes at home if your schedule allows.

About Setting Network Environment and Computers

You can take online classes on-campus but we ask you to take them at home if possible. Please make sure to have a computer device and a stable internet connection ready for the spring quarter.

For the Immunocompromised and those with other ailments (Counter-Corona measures)

If you have a health condition and are concerned about attending on campus classes due to fear of covid infection, please contact the person in charge to the email below during march.

  • Ailments include
    :heart condition, breathing problems, kidney issues, collagen disease, malignant tumor etc.

About Account Setup

You need an ICC account in order to access the Education Information System and the university’s network.
Accounts can be obtained by the following two steps.

  1. Take an IT literacy course  
    We will provide you an ID and password for the course. (The date will be updated once it is decided).  
    Use the ID and password to take the online class.  
    ICC will verify you if you have completed the class.
  2. Getting the Account  
    Students who have completed the class will be notified on how to get their official account.
    Follow the steps to download your official account information.

Warning

  • Information regarding account acquisition will be sent to the email address you provided us when you enrolled for TUFS through the web page.
  • After the entrance ceremony, all notifications will be sent to your university email which is provided along with your official account information. Be sure to complete the class during March so that you have your account by the day of the entrance ceremony.
