Language and Culture Supporter System

We have the Language and Culture Supporter Registration System for graduates of the University, postgraduate students, as well as faculty and staff members to take back the expertise they acquired at the University into society. Members of the system are active in volunteer activities to facilitate multilingual and multicultural communication in support activities for inbound visitors from abroad or at international events. In addition, we conduct training for the members such as teaching interpreting techniques and intercultural communication.

Support for non-Japanese residents

• Interpreting in free legal counseling or consultation conducted by lawyers.
• Interpreting at Professional Consultation for Foreign Residents conducted by Tokyo Supporting Network for Foreign Residents.
• Other activities include language support at public organizations such as child consultation centers.

International events

• Interpreting at international events related to sports or culture and other activities requiring language ability.
• Event staff at international exchange events or educational events for international understanding.
