SADC Ambassador Lecture Series Begins with Zambia
October 29, 2025
On Wednesday, October 8, 2025, the first session of the Southern African Development Community (SADC) Ambassador Lecture Series was held at TUFS, continuing the in-person format established two years ago. Ms. Faith Chilube, First Secretary at the Embassy of the Republic of Zambia in Japan, delivered a lecture in English. Her talk covered Zambia’s geography, culture, history, industries, and the history of diplomatic relations with Japan. The session concluded with a lively Q&A, as students engaged enthusiastically with the speaker.
This lecture series is a required course for first-year students majoring in African Area Studies at the School of International and Area Studies. It is held every Wednesday during the second period in Room 213 of the Research and Lecture Building, and is open to the TUFS community to promote exchange between Japan and SADC member countries.
