Persian Major Students Exchange with Iranian Graduate Students
December 17, 2024
On Friday, December 6, 2024, graduate students invited from Iran as part of a Sasakawa Peace Foundation project visited our university and exchanged with students majoring in Persian.
At the exchange meeting, the Iranian students gave a presentation, and then there was an exchange of opinions with the students of our university. Through the exchange of opinions, new perspectives and a deeper understanding were gained, and all the participants had a meaningful time.
At the end of the exchange meeting, the students of both countries took a commemorative photo together, and there were also scenes of deepening friendship. We would like to continue with this kind of international exchange in the future.
Comments from participating TUFS students
- Ms. Ayaka Kanai (4th year student, School of Language and Culture Studies)
It was a valuable experience to be able to interact with Iranian students who aspire to become diplomats, and in particular, the exchange of opinions that took place in a friendly atmosphere was both enjoyable and meaningful, and I almost didn't want it to end. - Ms. LI Juria (3rd year, School of International and Area Studies)
During the group work, we were able to ask various questions about Iran and receive answers. It was a great opportunity to hear the opinions of young people who aspire to become diplomats, and it was a valuable learning experience.
In addition, Mr. Mizutani from the Sasakawa Peace Foundation is also a TUFS graduate Persian language major.
