109th TUFS Boat Race Held

On Monday, May 6, 2024, the TUFS Boat Race, which has a history of more than 100 years, was held at the Toda Rowing Course in Toda City, Saitama Prefecture. This year, 30 crews consisting of new students from each major language and region participated in the event. Participants worked together as groups of five to row the 300-metre course.

Students wore matching T-shirts* representing each region and language. Other participants cheered on their peers, demonstrating the unity of each region and language major.

The 109th Boat Race Final Results

1st place: Malaysian (team name: Kasih Malayu)
2nd place: Filipino (team name: Magellan's Pangarap!)
3rd place: Arabic (team name: alaqwaa)
