Lithuanian Prime Minister Visits TUFS, Interacts with Students

On Thursday, October 27, 2022, H.E. Ms. Ingrida ?imonyt?, Prime Minister of the Republic of Lithuania visited TUFS and delivered a lecture to TUFS students.
At the lecture, Prime Minister ?imonyt? spoke on the theme of the strategic partnership between Lithuania and Japan, followed by a question and answer session with participating students. Students asked a variety of questions about Lithuania's policies in light of Russian aggression in Ukraine, the relationship between Lithuania and the region in which the students are majoring, and the gender gap in Japan.
Prior to her speech, the Prime Minister ?imonyt? met with TUFS President Kayoko Hayashi. The meeting was attended by H.E. Dr. Aurelijus ZYKAS, Ambassador of the Republic of Lithuania to Japan, and H.E. Mr Tetsu Ozaki, Ambassador of Japan to Lithuania, as well as by TUFS Vice President Jun Matsukuma, Lithuanian language lecturer Eiko Sakurai, and Professor Yoshiyuki Ogasawara, a specialist in international and Taiwanese politics.
