Basque Government Representatives Visit TUFS

On Wednesday the 27th of November, Marian Elorza, the Secretary General for External Action of the Basque Government, and others visited TUFS and had a meeting with Vice President MATSUKUMA Jun and Professor HAGIO Sho.

TUFS offers classes on the Basque language and culture with the support of the Etxepare Basque Institute in the Basque Country, Spain, according to the Academic Exchange Agreement signed in 2015 between the two institutions.
TUFS also has an Academic Exchange Agreement with the University of the Basque Country, through which exchanges are conducted with researchers, staff and students.

In recent years, the Basque Government has been furthering relations with Japan in the fields of economics, renewable energy, culture, gastronomy, tourism, etc. Further exchanges with partner organizations and TUFS are also expected in the wake of next year's Olympic and Paralympic Games.
