A message from the representative of Hula Team Ka Pili Oha
Ms. Kojima Risako (School of International and Area Studies, Latin America, Course of International Relations, third-year student)
In the face of a global pandemic, we are extremely grateful to have been able to dance hula with on such a wonderful stage, and to have won an award for our performance.
All seven of us who participated in the competition had initially planed on studying abroad this year, but we had to give up our plans due to COVID-19. It's a strange feeling to think that we wouldn't have been able to take part in such a prestigious event if we had gone abroad. At one stage I was very dissapointed that I would not be able to pursue my studies abroad, as it was something I was really looking forward to. However, thanks to the support of those around us, we were given the opportunity to work towards a new goal together, and I am very grateful for this.
As the founders of this student circle, we hope that it will keep growing for many years to come, and that there will continue to be a place to learn hula at TUFS.
Thank you for your continued support of Hula Team Ka Pili Oha.
