TUFS Rowing Team Wins Prize in 57th Japan-Wide University Rowing Championship

On Friday 19 th - Sunday 21 st August 2016, the 57 th Japan-Wide University Rowing Championship (sponsored by the Japan Rowing Association) took place at Naganuma Boat Park in Miyagi Prefecture, where Kyo Seika (School of Language and Culture Studies Persian Language second year student) of TUFS's rowing team took 5 th place.
This championship is a nation-wide rowing contest open to university students in their second year and below, as well as members of the public of the same age who have rowing qualifications, and is an extremely high-level contest. Kyo demonstrated outstanding efforts in the single scull event, which tests individual ability. In the Japan National Collegiate Championship in September, Kyo will compete as chief rower in the quad scull event.
