Stained Glass Artwork 'Owl - Protector of the Forest' Unveiled at TUFS

Recently, TUFS received an artwork donation, 'Owl - Protector of the Forest,' a stained glass piece by former TUFS Italian department student-turned-artist, the late Hiroshi Inoue. On Saturday the 28 th of October, a ceremony for the unveiling of this artwork was held.

The artwork was installed in a window frame in the first-floor Entrance Hall of AGORA Global. Mr. Inoue was also the designer of the stained glass clock embedded in the outer wall of the Administration Building. The donation was made by Mr. Inoue's younger sister and former TUFS staff member, Yumiko Umeda.

At the ceremony, President Tateishi spoke about the meaning of this artwork, and the unveiling was performed together by President Tateishi and Ms. Umeda.

The ceremony was also attended by attendees of the 'Homecoming Day,' which was happening on the same day. When the stained glass window was finally unveiled, attendees could be heard gasping in delight at its beauty.
