President Attends Taiwan Partner Institution Tamkang University's 66th Anniversary

On Sunday 6 ^th November 2016, President Tateishi accepted an invitation to the 66 ^th anniversary commemoration ceremony of Tamkang University, Taiwan, which is one of the partner institutions of TUFS. Prof. Taniguchi Ryuko also attended. The presidents, vice presidents and teaching staff of 31 universities in 10 countries came to visit the magnificent occasion.

On the same day, a presidents' forum entitled 'Internationalization of Higher Education: New Initiatives and Strategies' took place, in which as well as a presentation given by president Tateishi on TUFS's efforts towards guaranteeing quality with regard to the aim of fostering multilingual, globalised human resources, presentations were given by four universities from the US, China and Korea, and a productive exchange of information took place.

Within Tamkang University is located one of TUFS's overseas bases, the 'Global Japan Office'. The office also participated in the running of the ceremony.
