June 16, 2016
On the 8th of June 2016 (Wed), a group of 15 high school students from Singapore invited by the Foundation for International Assistance to the People of Asia visited TUFS. Every year the foundation organizes a trip to Japan for students interested in studying in Japan, as part of the foundation’s mission to promote cultural exchange between Japan and Singapore for young and talented leaders of the future.
During the visit, after Prof. Hagio of International Relations gave a welcome address, Associate Prof. Tomotsune (Institute of Japan Studies) gave an explanation regarding TUFS and the admissions process and current students introduced university life here at TUFS. Following this, the group visited the university library and observed an undergraduate lecture being conducted in English amongst other things. The level of interest of the students could be seen through the questions they asked regarding TUFS educational policy and studying abroad in Japan.
