TUFS Conducts Joint Education Program with Moscow Institute of International Relations

From January 6th to 16th, TUFS carried out an intensive lecture and a seminar on issues and prospects for the relations between Japan and Russia. Professor Dmitry Streltsov from the Moscow Institute of International Relations was invited to speak at this academic event. This intensive lecture took place as one of the pillars of the Joint Education Program, which is conducted in reaction to TUFS's selection as a Super Global University by the Ministry of Education.
In a lecture “Issues and Prospects for Russo-Japanese relations”, the professor talked about issues that came to light during his review of the history of Russo-Japanese relations, as well as prospects for bilateral relations in the post-Cold War international community. In the following seminar, he discussed those topics with students.
After the lecture, the professor met with President Tateishi, Executive Director Miyazaki, Vice President Hayashi, Special Executive Advisor to the President Suzuki, and Dean Iwasaki(School of International and Area Studies). They talked about cooperation on the Joint Education Program and promoting exchanges between the two universities, reflecting increasing demand from their students.
