TUFS student Claims First Place at Chinese Proficiency East Japan Regional Competition for Foreign College Students (Chinese Bridge)

On Saturday, June 1, the 12th Chinese Proficiency East Japan Regional Competition for Foreign College Students (Chinese Bridge) was held at Oberlin University Confucius Institute and Yuta Ogi (2nd year, TUFS School of Language and Culture studies student) claimed first place. He also got a grand prize for his speech “Shandong Clapper Ballad” using The Shangdong accent. Therefore, he will join its World Competition which will take place in Hunan Province, China in late June.
Also, Tesshu Ohkura (2nd year, TUFS School of International and Area Studies) got second place for performing classical Beijing Opera.
