TUFS Student Claims first Place at the National Russian Language Contest

On Sunday, June 16, the 42nd annual National Russian Language Contest (hosted by the Japan-Eurasia Society and sponsored by the Embassy of the Russian Federation, etc.) was held at the Tokyo Russian Academy, located in Setagaya-ku, Tokyo. TUFS 4th year Russian major Sayaka Kamata claimed first place in the competition.
The contest consists of a speech on a free topic and a question-and-answer session with the judges, both conducted in Russian. Ms. Kamata received high marks in stage performance, including her pronunciation.
