TUFS Students Claim 1st and 2nd Place at the Khmer Speech Contest

On Saturday, April 20, the Khmer Speech Contest was hosted by and held at the Embassy of Cambodia to Japan in Akasaka, Tokyo. In the competition, TUFS 4th year Cambodian majors Saki Hiroishi and Azusa Watanabe claimed first and second places respectively.
After the award ceremony, the two students had a chance to enjoy a pleasant chat with Cambodian Ambassador to Japan Hor Monirath, former Japanese Ambassador to Cambodia Yukio Imagawa, and their wives.
This speech contest was held for the first time to commemorate the 60th anniversary of friendship between Japan and Cambodia.
