2013 Welcome Party is Held

On Thursday, May 16, the 2013 Welcome Party was held by the TUFS Japanese Language Center for International Students (JLC) at the University Center. It welcomed 69 international students from 34 countries who came this spring.

JLC invited guests from the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology, embassies located in Tokyo, nearby neighborhood associations, community councils and organizations supporting international students. Also from TUFS, President Tateishi, Director Miyazaki, and Director Kanaguchi among others attended the party.
MEXT official Mr. Kojiro Kakimoto, TUFS President Tateishi and JLC Director Ito gave a speech to encourage students about their studies and lives in Japan. After their speech, the international students introduced themselves.

Many Japanese students also attended the event, providing an opportunity for international exchange among the guests.
