【Only for TUFS students, faculty and staff】Exhibition "Feel Africa: Message through Arts and Lens"

From June 7 to July 6, 2022, we will hold the art exhibition "Feel Africa: Message Through Arts and Lens" at Galleria, 1st floor of Research and Lecture Building. (This exhibition is only open to TUFS members.) The original art works by African students studying at TUFS will be exhibited. You will find about 40 works including graphic arts, picture books, and photographs there.

During the exhibition period, "core time" will be set during lunch break (11:40 am - 12:40 pm) twice or three times a week. Exhibitors will be around the venue during core time, so please use it as an opportunity to learn the background of the works and talk about various things, and to deepen understanding and exchange of their home region and Africa!

As a part of the event, we will hold an event of story hour of the picture book created by a student from Sierra Leone at the Central Plaza.

Ms. Theresa Akuye Amui will introduce the picture book "Ansu's Village" that she published in 2021, and students from Rwanda and Egypt will introduce their life in each country. We will exhibit the works of "Feel Africa" at Central Plaza during this event.

Our students will perform African songs and music. In addition, Paul Kani Bahoya, who created the "Feel Africa" poster, will explain behind-the scene story of his graphic arts. We will exhibit the works of "Feel Africa" at Central Plaza during this event.

Core Time

The exhibitors will wait for you at the venue and explain how the background of their works and their home countries. Please take this opportunity to get close with students from African countries.
