In August 2022, the Stellenbosch University Japan Centre (SUJC) was launched at the Stellenbosch University, and Prof. Scarlett Cornelissen, our former visiting professor (June - August 2021) assumed the position of director. SUJC aims to be a leading hub for academic research and cultural exchange between South Africa and Japan.

Since the Stellenbosch University is one of the partner universities of TUFS Inter-University Exchange Project (IAfP), we will have many opportunities to collaborate. We will also strengthen the research and academic network with South Africa through the relationship with SUJC.
