Printed Materials Group
Objectives
To clarify the relationship between Europe and Asia, the Printed Materials Group will mainly focus on the collection of reference materials on Asian Studies in Western Europe. To this end, the Group will study and collect travelogues, research documents, and other printed materials that are fundamental research materials for studies on Asia and Africa in order to establish a repository that will serve as a beacon for graduate students and their studies. The Group also wants to deepen the scope of its research through academic intercourse with Asia Studies specialists in Western Europe.

- Collection of travel literature on Asia written in Spanish, Dutch, French and German. (TATEISHI, MASUTANI, NAGAHARA) - Research and collection of historical materials regarding Sefaradies and Moriscoes and the Diaspora in Asia (TATEISHI, HACHIOSHI, ARAI) - Collection of historical documents on the Dutch colonies in Indonesia and Africa in the form of prints and pictures from the Netherlands, and vernacular literature (MASUTANI, NAGAHARA) |
